What Does it Take to Make a Dress?

Ever wondered how a dress is made? What is the process? How does it come together? I filmed this short video of myself creating a dress from A to Z, to show you a simplified overview of the whole process. 

Although this is a tutorial video, I am aware that there’s not much practical information given to implement this dress, specially for someone with no pattern or sewing knowledge background. But, my aim is just to show roughly the process of making a simple dress from a designer’s point of view and what goes behind it. Still, I wasn’t able to cover everything and a lot of steps were difficult to capture (e.g. attaching the zipper, folding the dress straps inside out…etc).

I hope we all become more aware and appreciate every piece of clothing we have no matter how small or simple it looks. It is a process that took effort and time from someone.
